East At Merion Golf Club
Private clubGolf House Road, Ardmore, PA 19041
Merion Golf Club's East Course is a historic 18-hole layout designed by Hugh Wilson (assisted by William Flynn) and opened in 1912, informed by Wilson's study trip to British links courses. It plays to a par of 70 and is known for narrow tree-lined fairways, deep 'white-faced' pot bunkers, and small, undulating greens; pins are marked with the club's signature wicker baskets rather than flags. The course has hosted multiple U.S. Opens.
